Rawla Udaipur began with one idea: give travellers exploring Udaipur city centre hotels somewhere that feels like family, not a lobby. We never aimed for the biggest hotel near city centre Udaipur, just the place people call the best heritage hotel in Udaipur experience, one rooted in this city's history.
In Mewar, a rawla is the fortified home of a noble family — thick sandstone walls, shaded courtyards, and a front door that was never really closed to guests. Hospitality here was not a service; it was a matter of honour.
We built this hotel around that idea. The architecture is honest Rajasthani stone. The welcome is unforced. And the standard we hold ourselves to is the one a Mewari household would recognise: look after the guest as you would your own.
